  • 250g buckwheat
  • 100g broccoli (sliced)
  • 1 Large carrot (peeled)
  • 125g tofu
  • 1 Medium onion (sliced)
  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 2 teaspoons black sesame seeds
  • pinch Himalayan salt
  • 1/2 cup cashews

For the Sauce

  • 50ml tamarin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons agave syrup
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 teaspoons ginger powder
  • 1 tablespoon flax powder
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice


Step 1
Wrap the tofu in a cloth. Using something with weight (i.e. jar) place over tofu to strain the water out.
Step 2
After, dice the tofu and marinate it with the ingredients for the sauce, excluding the flax powder. Let marinate for at least 2 hours.
Step 3
In a pot, boil the buckwheat with salt using 2 parts water for 1 part of buckwheat. Let it boil for approximately 15 min. After, strain it.
With a grater, grate the carrot using the wide holes.
Step 4
Melt the coconut oil in a wok.
Once melted, start to fry the onion and add a pinch of salt.
Then, add the carrot and the broccoli. Don't let them cook for a long time! We want them cooked, but not soft.
Place the vegetables in a bowl and put to the side.
Step 5
Remove the tofu from the sauce and place in the same pan. Cook the tofu until you have a brownish color. Then, add the cashews. After, place tofu and cashews in a bowl and put aside.

In the same pan, add the sauce. Mix in the flax powder, and let the sauce reduce.

Place the buckwheat in a plate. Over, add the vegetables and the tofu. Then, the sauce and the sesame seeds.
